Became Obedient unto Death

When He could have spoken a word in His own defence, Pilate marvelled at His silence. One who had used but three words to still a tempest and calm a storm, did not speak a word. He willingly submitted Himself to the Father’s will and went on to the cross and death. He had said, "I lay down my life... (John 10:17). As in His life so, in His death, all things were done in obedience to the Father.
We must ask ourselves today how far we are prepared to go in order to achieve a goal or accomplish a task as an expression of our obedience and devotion to Him.
