The Epistle to the Philippians is mainly pracical and is chiefly concerned with the simple, insistent and emphatic exposition  of how the Christian is to live in a wicked world. The long centuries that seperate us from those early days do not deter us from witnessing with bated breath their joy at the reception of their longed-for Epaphroditus.
