Ezekiel by John Riddle - 9781914273155

The prophet Ezekiel lived in the ancient city of Babylon during a critical time in Israel's history. The prophecy can be divided into four sections: the ruin of Judah and Jerusalem (chs.1-24);  the retribution on surrounding nations’ (chs.25-32);  the restoration of Israel (chs.33-39);  the return of the glory of the Lord (chs.40-48). Christians today can still discover what God says to a Church in trouble, and this commentary will be a very helpful insight to aid your study on this book.

John Riddle is well-known throughout the United Kingdom and further afield as a very gifted Bible teacher. For many years, he has conducted a Friday evening Bible Class in Cheshunt. Those who have been able to attend this Bible Class have been blessed richly - and others have been able to get the benefit of this, as the notes produced became the basis of the commentary series. This latest commentary is not the product of the Bible Class, but rather from a series of Bible Studies conducted in Belmont Hall in Harrow in West London. The style of these commentaries is easy-to-read and will appeal to new christians and younger people, but will offer a great resource for all ages. Whilst it is not a “word by word” in-depth commentary, those looking for a good outline and overview of Ezekiel will find this very helpful.
