Happiness is winning the lottery? Don't kid yourself. Money can buy diamonds but not love, houses but not homes, farms but not families, holidays but not happiness, pleasure but not satisfaction, possessions but not inner peace.

Look at the private lives of the rock and film stars, the rich and the famous. You'll have to agree, money doesn't buy happiness. What it can buy, you can't take with you anyway. The incredibly slim chance of a lottery win is a mirage in the desert of life. If, however, you are a genuine seeker of God, please carefully read the rest of this leaflet.

Bernard Levin, perhaps the greatest newspaper columnist of the 20th century said: "Countries like ours are full of people who have all the material comforts they desire, together with such non material blessings as a happy family, and yet lead lives of quiet, and at times noisy desperation, understanding nothing but the fact that there is a hole inside them, and that however much food and drink they pour into it, however many motor cars and TV sets they stuff it with, however many well balanced children and loyal friends they parade around the edges of it...it aches."

That empty feeling...

This hole inside you is a 'God-shaped vacuum'. Since you were created by and for God you will never be truly at rest until you know and experience Him. However, your sin (pride, selfishness, lust etc.) has separated you from God. Every attempt to buy satisfaction while ignoring the problem of sin will fail. Here's how you can come to know God:

1) Confess you are a sinner who has broke God's laws.
2) Admit you cannot save youtrself.
3) Grasp the fact that Christ died personally for your sins on the cross. Put your trust in Him for salvation.

The Bible says "He who believes on the Son (The Lord Jesus) has everlasting life" (John 3:36). Life is empty without Christ! If you miss Christ you miss everything.
