Joy To The World is our new Christmas tract for 2022. Written by Stuart Scammell this 4 page gospel leaflet gives a clear gospel message relating to Christmas. Sold in bundles of 100.

What does Christmas mean to you? When asked this question, many people answer in different ways: to some, it is a good tradition, to others, it is a time to overindulge, party and an excuse to spend ridiculous amounts of money. When asked this question, a lady answered, ‘Christmas is the season of joy, gift-giving and for families to unite!’

In one sense she had missed the point completely, yet in another she got it absolutely spot on.

What she missed was that Christmas starts with Christ and she forgot all about Him. Without God’s Son Jesus Christ being born into this world, there would be no reason to celebrate. The reason we celebrate is that God is with us!

So, she was right, it is a time of gift-giving. The greatest gift ever was given when God gave His Son. The Bible tells us that we faced the wages of our sin, which is being separated from God, and facing the punishment we deserve. However, God chose to give us a gift. If we choose to accept it by believing on the Lord Jesus, then we receive eternal life. That is an amazing gift, and it was expensive too! The Lord Jesus went to a cross and died, suffering for sin. He took the punishment we deserve. The price He paid was massive and demonstrates the extent of His love for us.

When the Lord Jesus was born, angels sang. They couldn’t contain their emotion. The angel of the Lord spoke of good tidings and great joy for all people. The baby that was born wouldn’t just bring short term happiness that can be taken away with a change of circumstances, but deep joy that can never be taken away. When we turn from our sins in repentance and trust in what Jesus Christ did upon the cross for us then we will know the joy of sin forgiven and the assurance of eternal life in Heaven. We will be with Him and, in fact, God’s Word, the Bible, tells us that we will be called a child of God.

Billions of babies have been born into this world, but only one like this one. He was the Saviour. “The Father (God) sent the Son (Jesus Christ) to be the Saviour of the world” (1 John 4:14).

Is He your Saviour? Have you trusted in Him, repenting of your sin?

If so, Christmas will be a wonderful time as you celebrate God’s greatest gift, Jesus Christ. You will be able with great joy to remember the time you trusted Him as your Saviour and became a child of God, part of God’s family.

If you haven’t done this, then make this Christmas wonderful by accepting God`s gift to you, Jesus Christ, and be saved by believing in Him.
