Epistles of James & Jude

The epistles of James and Jude are intensely practical and deeply searching. Their wisdom and warnings are no less necessary for Christians in the twenty-first century than they were for the believers who first received and read them. Superficially, much has changed since the first century, but the indulgence, injustice, and error that are so forecfully exposed in these epistles continue to mark society and to challenge Christians who seek to live for God. This elucidites their teaching and emphasises their continuing importance for the people of God. Bernie Payne was saved at the age of 21 and received into the fellowship of the local assembly in Corner Brook, about one year later. Bernie and his wife Susan were in fellowship in Corner Brook until August 2014, when they moved to Gander, Newfoundland. He is a former editor of Assembly Focus Magazine and has written a number of Bible commentariesand presently writes a bi-weekly devotional entitles Messages of Comfort.
