Word Definitions

In days when words are losing their original meaning because of careless speech and misusage, there is a need to define words we use from the Gospel platform. For instance, what is the difference between “faith” and “trust”? Is “hope” the same as “expectancy” and how is it linked to “trust” and “confidence”? How does a “gift” differ to a “present”? What do we mean by the “gift of God” in terms of salvation  We must not insult the intelligence of the congregation, but there is a great need to make the message clear.

With its firm conviction, the author began to gather information about many words we use, leaning heavily upon the first mention and its synonyms. The Bible is unique, carrying its own dictionary and lexicon.
